AARON BALL

Tattoo Artist // @aaronballtattoo

Aaron began as a client of Progression Tattoo in 2014, and quickly fell in-love with tattooing’s allure. He soon after began tattooing in 2016. His introduction to the tattoo industry came by working in a street-shop style environment, where the mentality was to become accomplished in as many styles of tattooing as possible.

Although Aaron is proficient in fine line tattooing, lettering & script, black and grey, and illustrative; his drive and passion lies solely in Japanese inspired tattooing; particularly that of the classic style of the early 1900’s.

Inspired by sleeves, back and bodysuits from the early masters, Aaron aims to provide a refined and bold look to his work with simplified line weights, colour palettes and heavy background designed to fit and flow with the shape of the body. Although driven by large scale work, he finds great pleasure in smaller one-point Japanese tattoos also.

When not tattooing, Aaron enjoys exploring his tattoo concepts through paintings with sumi and traditional hand made Japanese paper (Washi). He paints for pleasure, but is also available for commission work.

In the coming years, Aaron hopes to be able to travel with his tattooing both locally and internationally.
