Matt is a self-taught tattoo artists who has been tattooing professionally for 17 years. Matt opened Progression Tattoo in August of 2009 which has since secured its place as a leading boutique tattoo studio in Adelaide. Matt has attended many Australian and international tattoo conventions including the prestigious Bay Area Convention of the Arts in San Francisco and Mondial du Tatouage Convention in Paris He has done guest spots at State of Grace Tattoo in San Jose and Seventh Son Tattoo in San Francisco California. White Fox Gallery in Germany. Tradition Tattoo and Westside Tattoo in Brisbane, La Flor Sagrada and Korpus Tattoo in Melbourne and Lighthouse Tattoo in Sydney.
With a particular interest in Japanese style tattooing, Matt has furthered this passion by travelling regularly to Japan over the past 10 years to complete a body suit from renowned artist Shige at Yellowblaze Tattoo Studio in Yokohama. While he loves Japanese style tattoos, Matt is happy tattooing any style or design. In his spare time he enjoys water colour painting.
