Ryan “Maverick” Reeve has been tattooing between Adelaide and Melbourne for the last 16 years and for the past 11, has called the Adelaide Hills home.
With a background in graphic design, Ryan spent the first few years of his career focusing on creating a unique lettering style and design to his tattooing. While he still enjoys doing these lettering based designs, his passion for creating a new take on Japanese floral tattoos has grown immensely. These flower designs are now recognisable around the world. These floral ideas have evolved into larger pieces over the years with clients now travelling from around Australia and overseas requesting these beautiful flowers in their sleeves, full legs, backs and bodysuits. However smaller one off designs are always welcomed.
Apart from doing guest spots at Lygon St. Tattoo Co in Melbourne, Ryan has also attended many tattoo conventions around Australia as well as the Mondial du Tattouage in Paris. He hopes to attend more international conventions in the future.
Ryans drive and passion to continually create new work means you’ll find him painting small and large projects in spare time, some of which was exhibited in the recent “Draw of the Orient” art show in 2019. Prints and original pieces can be found through his online store and social media accounts. He also enjoys working on logo and business designs for other tattooers and small business when he gets the chance. Ryan is available for commission work.
